List of beans
From Gardenology.org - Plant Encyclopedia and Gardening wiki
Bean is used broadly as a common name for large plant seeds of several genera of the family Fabaceae (formerly Leguminosae) eaten by people and used for animal feed.
Beans grow in pods, which can be tender enough to be eaten whole when young and green (thus they are often called green beans). Several varieties are most popular for their pods, as described on the common bean page.
