Panicum barbinode, Trin. (P. molle of authors, not Swartz). Para-grass. Strongly stoloniferous, as much as 20 ft. long: culms decumbent, rooting at the joints, 6-10 ft. high, robust: sheaths more or less hairy, the blades smooth, 6-20 in. long: panicles 8-15 in. long, consisting of numerous ascending racemes with rather crowded spikelets.—Intro, from Brazil.
