Thalictrum fendleri, Engelm. Fig. 3790. Plant 1-3 1/2 ft. high, rather stout and leafy: lvs. 4-5 times pinnatifid, upper st.-lvs. sessile; lfts. rather firm, ovate to orbicular, usually with many shallow rounded or acuminate lobes; bases variable: fls. dioecious, in rather compact panicles; stamens many; anthers long: achenes nearly sessile, obliquely ovate, flattened and 1 edge gibbous, 3-4 ribs on each face. July, Aug. S. Colo., westward and southward. CH
