Spiraea cana, Waldst. & Kit. Dense, bushy shrub, 3 ft. high: lvs. elliptic to oblong, acute at both ends, usually entire, grayish pubescent on both sides, more densely beneath, 1/3 - 1 in. long: fls. 1/4 in. across, in dense head-like umbels; petals about as long as stamens; sepals reflexed in fr. May. S. E. Eu., W. Asia. R.F.G.24:148. —Hardy, but not very showy. CH
