Silene rupestris, Linn. Perennial, 2-8 in. high, loosely cespitose, glabrous: sts. numerous, erect from a branched base, 1 1/2 - 7 in. high: lvs. lanceolate, acute, the lower attenuate at base: fls. flesh-color, in repeatedly dichotomous cymes, numerous, long-pedicelled; the pedicels filiform; calyx obconical, base slightly umbilicate; petals obovate, deeply emarginate: caps. ovoid-oblong.
