Scaphosepalum gibberosum, Rolfe (Masdevallia gibberosa, Reichb. f.). Lvs. 3-5 in. long, oblong-obovate or lanceolate, obtuse: peduncle 6-10 in. long, warty, bearing a loose raceme of 4-8 fls.: dorsal sepal boat-shaped, with a long tail, dull red, with strong, greenish ribs; lateral sepals partly connate in a concave lamina, then spreading horizontally, yellow, spotted with red and ending in yellowish tails.
