Salvia candelabrum, Boiss. Subshrub, half-hardy: st. shrubby at base, villous: lvs. entire, petiolate, oblong, both surfaces villous, canescent-tomentose beneath: panicle elongated, lax; the floral whorls remote, 3-5-fld.; calyx pedicellate, campanulate, somewhat 2-lipped, 5-toothed, viscous-pubescent; corolla with the upper lip yellowish, whitish streaked, the lower violet.
