Stouter and taller than R. sapida: lvs. larger and broader, rarely, if ever, glaucous; segms. linear- lanceolate, acuminate; nerves, midrib, and petiole sparsely scaly: spadix 1-2 ft. long scarcely inclosed by the spathe; fls. white: fr. more globose, scarlet.
