Muscari commutatum, Guss. Lvs. 5-6. 5-6 in. long, l ½ -2 lines wide: fls. odorless, dark blue; segms. very short, not recurved. Sicily.—Krelage advertises vars. atrocaeruleum comosum, plumosum, plumbsum monstrosum, and plumosum violaceum. It is apparent that he regards M. comosum and its forms as varieties of M. commutatum.
