Leptospermum pubescens, Lam. (L. lanigerum, Smith). Tall shrub or small tree: branchlets villous: leaves varying from obovate-oblong to elliptic or narrow-oblong, normally 1/2 in. long, silky-villous while young, rarely glabrous: flowers 1/2 - 3/4 in. across, white. Austral. —Extremely variable. Long cultured abroad, but not advertised in Amer. CH
