Kydia calycina, Roxbg. Tree, attaining 25 ft.: lvs. 4-5 in. long, 3 in. wide, rounded, cordate, palmately 7-nerved, more or less lobed, middle lobe longest, close-felted beneath : infl. much-branched, many-fld.; fls. white or pink, with oblong-spatulate bracts beneath. Trop. India.—Indicated as a stove evergreen abroad. It is doubtful whether the plant is still cult, to any extent.L.H.B.
