Iris lortetii, Barbey. Lvs. less than 1 ft. long: st. about 1 ft. high, bearing 2 reduced lvs.: spathe-valves 5 in. long, green or slightly scarious above: outer segms. obovate, much reflexed, 3 in. broad, whitish, finely veined and spotted with red-brown, with a dark spot at the throat; inner segms. orbicular, connivent, pale gray, with red-brown veins.
