Genista tenera (Genista virgata, Link, Spartium virgatum, L'Her.). Shrub, to 8 ft., with slender branches: lvs. lanceolate to elliptic, silky-villous, ¼ - ½ in. long: fls. in numerous short 3-6-fld. racemes; standard and keel silky: pod oblong, 1-3-seeded, villous. May-July. Madeira. CH
