Genista cinerea, DC. Shrub, to 3 ft.: branches grooved, pubescent while young, sparsely leafy: lvs. simple, lanceolate, pubescent on both sides, 1/3 – ½ in. long: fls. 1-3, axillary, forming terminal racemes to 8 in. long; calyx pubescent; keel pubescent outside: pod 2-5-seeded, silky. April-June. S. Eu., N. Afr. B.M. 8086. G.M. 52:511; 53:507.—This species does not seem to be in the trade at present, but it deserves attention on account of its copious, brilliant yellow fls.
