Crinum pedunculatum, R. Br. (C. australe, and C. exaltatum, Herb. C. canaliculatum, Roxbg.). Bulb 4 in. thick; neck 6 in. long. Lvs. 25-30 to a bulb: fls. 20-30 in an umbel; spathe-valves 3-4 in. long; pedicels 1-1½ in.; perianth greenish white, not tinged with red outside, the segms. linear and spreading and shorter than the tube: filaments short, bright red; style shorter than the filaments: ovules 3 in a cell. Austral. B.R. 52.— The bulb grows above ground on a large rootetock; summer; coolhouse.
