Cape bulbs. A name applied to bulbous and bulb-like plants native to South AfricaCH. They are dry-region plants, and often bloom with us in summer and autumnCH. Some of the leading genera are Amaryllis, Brunsvigia, Nerine, Ixia, Tritonia, WatsoniaCH. See Bulbs.
