Antennaria dioica, Linn. (A. candida, Hort.). Basal Lvs. 1½ in. or less long, 1-nerved or only indistinctly 3-nerved: st. 2-12 in.: involucral bracts all light green or light brown, with white or pinkish tips. Northern states and Eu., and Asia.—The plant in the trade as A. tomentosum is probably a form of this species. Also in cult, under the proper name, A. dioica. A. hyperborea, Hort., a name common in the trade, is apparently a mere form of this with pinkish fls.
