Anemone vernalis, Linn. (Pulsatílla vernalis, Mill. A. sulphùrea, All.). Very shaggy, 6 in. high or less: Lvs. pinnately parted, segms. trifid: fls. purple without, whitish within, and smoothish; erect, on very short peduncles; sepals 6, rarely spreading. Apr.
