Ageratina riparia (Eupatorium riparium, Regel.) Diffuse, becoming woody at base, 2 ft., the sts. slender, puberulent and usually reddish: Lvs. opposite, long-lance-shaped, taper- pointed and at base narrowed to a long petiole, prominently 3-ribbed, toothed: heads in rather compact long-stalked clusters. Mex.-Good winter bloomer. Best for florists. Readily cult, in coldhouse. CH
