A much-branched, hairy perennial, 2-3 ft.: lvs. on the lower surface cottony, bright green above, almost round and deeply cordate; basal lvs. long-stalked; the stalks eared: heads 15-20-fld., purple, rather attractively paniculate or corymbose.
