| This week is designated National Community Garden Week by the national secretary of agriculture. There are over a million community gardens in the US, according to the National Gardening Assoc. So, if you haven't checked your local community garden out, it could be a good week to go and see what's going on, meet some other gardeners, and exchange some tips and maybe trade some seeds or some of your harvest for theirs.

I didn't know about this. Thanks for the heads up. I wish there was a community garden near me. Maybe I should set one up!
